Women are complex and ever-changing, physiologically speaking, which makes them difficult and expensive to study. As a result, women’s complexities are often ignored or dismissed in broader societal structures, excluding women from the same and equal opportunities as their male counterparts. Kayla’s work embraces and celebrates the complex biological, hormonal, emotional, cognitive, and physiological cycles of women to break barriers to inclusion.
Despite advancements in gender equality, women continue to face systemic barriers and unequal representation. Kayla recognizes these challenges and is committed to promoting change through innovative educational initiatives and impactful women-forward interventions. She believes in a future where gender equality becomes a reality, leading to enhanced social, economic, and cultural progress.
Kayla’s work bridges the science, policy, and economic sectors to create more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable policies for women, and ultimately all of humanity. She is a female scientist, women’s policy advocate, conscious economy visionary, and the founder and CEO of Her Biorhythm - an organization dedicated to closing gender gaps in research, education, and business through the practice of good, inclusive science.
Using a multifaceted approach, Kayla’s work aims to address gender gaps, empower individual expression, promote collective contribution, and advance society forward. To this end, she has worked with multi-sectoral, international leaders, including WHO, CDC, Universities, Global Ministries of Health, and Conscious Economics to advocate for women’s equity in health, economy, and research. She also works privately with policy makers and large international corporations to educate, design, and implement evidence-based policies, systems, and structures that foster inclusivity, drive diversity, and close the gender divide. Her initiatives encompass the following areas:
Inclusive Research: Recognizing the underrepresentation of women in research and the lack of women-centric data, Kayla works towards closing the gender gap in academia and scientific research by supporting initiatives that empower women researchers, improve women’s health research standards, and advance the field of women’s health science. This includes research grants, mentorship programs, and scientific policy change.
Women’s Biology and Health Education: With the unique female biology and biological rhythm as the foundation, Kayla actively advocates for gender equality in health education to eliminate gender biases and stereotypes. She offers education across the field of women’s health science, including female-specific physiology, neuropsychology, and endocrinology. She also partners with educational institutions to develop female-centered health curricula, provide a variety of accessible online and in-person programs, and establish scholarships to support women in their educational journeys. She also works to empower girls and young women through innovative K-12 women’s health curriculum that enhances self-efficacy and self-love.
Corporate Consulting and Business Development: Kayla works with large international corporations to design and implement truly inclusive corporate policies, structures, and systems. Her work embraces and leverages women's unique biological rhythms, neurodiversity, and cognitive strengths to foster innovation and nurture vibrant leadership that promotes connection, creativity, growth, and tangible results.
Women’s Leadership: To address gender inequalities in business and the economy, Kayla works to increase the representation of women in leadership positions by addressing the root cause of barriers to advancement for women. She collaborates with businesses to implement equity and inclusion strategies targeted for women, provides women’s leadership development programs that leverage women’s physiological and cognitive strengths, and creates networks that enable women to access mentorship, guidance, and career advancement opportunities. Her aim is to empower women to contribute their unique innovations and leadership skills to lead and drive positive change in their respective industries.
